Week 14 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
OJ made his move in the East, winning his wild card bet and now within striking distance of the East division leader and just outside of the playoffs….Gordon Bombay still holding on in the North, but a solid week by T-Ferg has him right on Gordie’s heels….Dr. Oge won $500 and jumped up the playoff ranks. He still has his wild card bet and looks like the only one who will be able to challenge overall leader Thine….The People’s Champ won $500 and could be making his December surge. He also still has his wild card bet available.
Losers
No big losers in the East this week, though The Big Hurt cannot be feeling comfortable about his shrinking division lead….Don Mattingly now with no bets. It’s a race to the bottom between him and Blossom Russo….Waldo Geraldo Faldo took a dip in the standings, but is still holding onto a postseason bid, as of now….No huge shifts in a negative direction in the West, but with three weeks to go, it looks like the end for The Notorious ABT.
Week 13 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
Just four weeks to go and the playoff races are tightening up. In the East, Art Schlichter won $500 and is now just $4oo off the lead with his wild card bet still available….Gordon Bombay surged to the North lead with a perfect week. Several franchises in the division still have yet to make their big bet, so anything can happen….Waldo is back in the hunt in the South, just $600 back of the lead after a flawless Week 14….Chris B. Corey seems to be the only challenger to Kenny Powers in the West right now. He closed the gap this past week.
Losers
A rough week for Rick Moranis, simply because he’s Rick Moranis….Stick a fork in Blossom Russo, who is done for the year. On the bright side, Don Mattingly probably won’t be in last place come season’s end….Yaz dropped $500 and is now on the brink of not making the playoffs….The People’s Champ has contending, then lost $500 and added late bets to boot. He went from second place in the West to fifth in the blink of an eye.
Week 12 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
Looking to prove all of the critics wrong, The Big Hurt had a perfect Week 12 to seize control of the East. He now has a $600 lead on the rest of the pack….T-Ferg went +$300 which was good enough to move back ahead for the North lead….Thine was perfect as well this week and is in a tie for the overall lead. Also of note, Boss Hardigan is +$1,500 over the last three weeks. Don’t count him out just yet. Yaz also was perfect this week, staying in striking distance of the leader…..Not to be outdone, Kenny Powers is +$1,500 over the last two weeks and now holds the overall lead via tiebreaker. He’s enjoying a comfortable $1,000 lead on the rest of the West.
Losers
In a week when most East Division teams thrived, Bud Fox dropped $500 and is now the cellar dweller….A few franchises with no bets in the North, which won’t help things at this point. But look at the bright side, you could be Don Mattingly and have just lost $1,000….Kimmy Gibbler and Patrick Bateman severely damaged their playoff hopes in Week 12, each losing $500….In the West, Chalky Studebaker keeps moving in the wrong direction.
Week 11 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
Art Schlichter made big moves in Week 11, winning $500 and pulling into a tie for the East lead. He currently holds the tiebreaker (winning percentage). Rick Moranis also won $500 and is throwing his proverbial hat into the ring for the division race….After a setback in Week 10, a perfect week for Gordon Bombay put him back in front for the North Division and for the overall lead. Kiko Garcia and The Beard of Zeus also had strong performances, tightening up the playoff picture….Thine now has a death grip on the South Division, but Waldo Geraldo Faldo won his wild card bet and is also within striking distance….What a week for Kenny Powers! He won $1,000, took over the West and is now just $100 back of the overall lead.
Losers
No big negative weeks in the East Division, so the big loser was The Big Hurt. His late season meltdown is coming in right on schedule….Not a ton of negative movement in the North, so we’ll just take a moment of silence to observe what has become of Don Mattingly….Yaz didn’t lose much in Week 11, but he’s teetering on the edge of the postseason with six weeks to go….Babe can’t string together wins and one wonders if his 2016 campaign is fading fast.
Week 10 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
Not much changed at the top in the East. The biggest shift was Shecky, winning his wild card bet and rising up the standings. He still has ground to make up, but this jump could turn around his season….T-Ferg eked out $100 this week, but it was enough for him to pull into a tie for the North lead….Boss Hardigan was the only franchise in the FMFL to win $500 in Week 10, temporarily lifting his spirits in the South. Meanwhile, Thine increased his lead in the division and is the overall leader as well….The People’s Champ had a ho-hum week but inched closer to the top of the West due to everyone else falling back.
Losers
Face continues his downward spiral in the gutter of the East, submitting late bets and losing them all for a -$600 week….Gordon Bombay had a chance to make the North Division a runaway, but slipped up in Week 10, losing all of his bets. He is now tied for the division lead, but is out in front due to the winning percentage tiebreaker….A rough week for Patrick Bateman, who was on the doorstep of the South lead, but instead lost $500. If the season ended today, he’d be on the outside looking in to the playoffs (losing out on the last spot due to winning percentage)….Babe dropped $500 this week and now needs a big turnaround to contend in the crowded West. And, then there’s The Notorious ABT. Gross.
Week 8 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
Rick lives! Rick Moranis made his move in the East, winning $500 and closing the gap on the leaders….Similar to Rick, The Beard of Zeus is now rising up the standings and giving the rest of the North a run for its money….Yaz was perfect last week and now leads the pack in the South. Also of note, Kimmy Gibbler cashed a wild card bet and $1,000 for the week….Chalky Studebaker is back on top of the West after another positive week.
Losers
Shecky only lost $100 in Week 8 but now finds himself in the basement of the East Division….What goes up must come down for Karl Farbman. After a few solid weeks he dropped $500 and back to the doldrums of the North….No big losers in the South. So let’s take a moment to feel bad for Judge Smails….Kenny Powers was winless in Week 8 and went from leading the West to third place.
Week 7 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
The FMFL destroyed Vegas in Week 7, with the league going a collective +$4,700. Too many +$500 franchises to list here, so let’s track the big movements….A shift change in the East as The Big Hurt won his wild card bet. He went into the week with a $700 deficit and now has a $400 lead on the rest of the pack….Gordon Bombay seized control of the North with a perfect week. However, the top six franchises in the division are all within $1,000, so anything can happen….Thine was another that had a major momentum swing with his wild card win. He now leads the South by $300….And in the West, Kenny Powers surged into first with a perfect week.
Losers
Art Schlichter picked a bad week to go winless. His stronghold on the East has evaporated….Don Mattingly and Blossom Russo are keeping each other company in the basement of the North….Time for that wild card bet, Kimmy Gibbler?….In the West, the one heralded Notorious ABT now finds himself at the bottom.
Week 6 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
The rich get richer in the East, as Art Schlichter notches another perfect week and now has a $700 lead on the rest of the division….Gordon Bombay made his move in the North, winning $500 and closing the gap in the division race. Also of note, The Beard of Zeus and Karl Farbman won $500 as well to climb out of the basement of the North….In the South, Yaz keeps grinding out wins and now sits atop the division after netting $300 on the week….Another solid week for Chalky Studebaker, who now leads the West by $500.
Losers
Is this the beginning the of the end for OJ? The Juice is in a downward spiral. He lost $500 and is tumbling down the East standings….A rough weekend for Kiko Garcia, Blossom Russo, and Don Mattingly in the North. All three failed to record a winning wager in Week 6….Not quite sure what’s gotten into Boss Hardigan this season, but the once feared franchise has failed to get it going in 2016….Mr. Marbles continues to be up and down this season. He lost $500 and now finds himself in the West cellar.

Winners
A big week for Art Schlichter, who won $500 and took control of the East. Also worth noting that Abe Froman made his move, winning his wild card bet and moving up $1,000 in the standings….lots of positive movement in the North this week. T-Ferg won $500 and now has a big lead on the rest of the pack. Kiko Garcia also was perfect, and Blossom Russo and Larisa Oleynik both hit their wild card bets….Yaz was perfect in Week 5 and now has a share of the South lead….as always, riding the shoulders of the Giants, The People’s Champ is rising up the West standings.
Losers
Face dropped $500 on a back door cover on Sunday night football. He’s dwelling at the bottom of the East standings….no big losers this week, but most of us are left wondering what ever happened to Karl Farbman?….Boss Hardigan was primed to make a move on the South but instead dropped $500….The Notorious ABT went from contender to bottom of the barrel after losing $500 in Week 5.

Winners
Week 4 was a bloodbath for some, but Art Schlicter rose above the pretenders and was perfect on the week. He now trails perennial early season darling (and late season flop) The Big Hurt by only $100 in the East….T-Ferg only won $100 this week, but maintains his lead in the lackluster North….Kimmy Gibbler rising up from the bottom of the South standings to win $500 on the week….Don’t look now, but Chris B. Corey is making a charge in the West. He won $500 on the week. Also of note, Kenny Powers was perfect and is back to even money.
Losers
Bud Fox bet four games and lost them all in Week 4. He slipped back to near the bottom of the East Division….Don Mattingly, who some have been calling “The Bud Fox of the North,” also bet four games and came up empty. The Beard of Zeus was sitting pretty but made no bets this week and lost $600….In the South, Boss Hardigan dropped $500, and so did Patrick Bateman. But Bateman did it by going 0-for-5 on a five-teamer….No big losers in the West this week, but The Notorious ABT lost $300 and went from tied for the division lead to $400 off the pace.
