Week 5 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
A big week for Art Schlichter, who won $500 and took control of the East. Also worth noting that Abe Froman made his move, winning his wild card bet and moving up $1,000 in the standings….lots of positive movement in the North this week. T-Ferg won $500 and now has a big lead on the rest of the pack. Kiko Garcia also was perfect, and Blossom Russo and Larisa Oleynik both hit their wild card bets….Yaz was perfect in Week 5 and now has a share of the South lead….as always, riding the shoulders of the Giants, The People’s Champ is rising up the West standings.
Losers
Face dropped $500 on a back door cover on Sunday night football. He’s dwelling at the bottom of the East standings….no big losers this week, but most of us are left wondering what ever happened to Karl Farbman?….Boss Hardigan was primed to make a move on the South but instead dropped $500….The Notorious ABT went from contender to bottom of the barrel after losing $500 in Week 5.

Week 4 Recap: Winners & Losers
Winners
Week 4 was a bloodbath for some, but Art Schlicter rose above the pretenders and was perfect on the week. He now trails perennial early season darling (and late season flop) The Big Hurt by only $100 in the East….T-Ferg only won $100 this week, but maintains his lead in the lackluster North….Kimmy Gibbler rising up from the bottom of the South standings to win $500 on the week….Don’t look now, but Chris B. Corey is making a charge in the West. He won $500 on the week. Also of note, Kenny Powers was perfect and is back to even money.
Losers
Bud Fox bet four games and lost them all in Week 4. He slipped back to near the bottom of the East Division….Don Mattingly, who some have been calling “The Bud Fox of the North,” also bet four games and came up empty. The Beard of Zeus was sitting pretty but made no bets this week and lost $600….In the South, Boss Hardigan dropped $500, and so did Patrick Bateman. But Bateman did it by going 0-for-5 on a five-teamer….No big losers in the West this week, but The Notorious ABT lost $300 and went from tied for the division lead to $400 off the pace.
